We are looking for a dynamic and results-driven Project Manager to lead the development, commercialization, and market introduction of new products.
The successful candidate will combine strategic vision, market insight, and execution excellence to drive product innovation from concept to market launch. This role requires a deep understanding of market dynamics, customer needs, and a passion for delivering high-impact products. As part of a collaborative cross-functional team, the Project Manager will work closely with sales, regulatory, engineering, vendors, and end users to ensure successful product launches that align with MedSource Labs’ business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Market Research & Analysis: Conduct in-depth market research to identify customer needs, industry trends, and competitive new product opportunities. Leverage this data to inform product development and ensure alignment with market demand.
- Product Conceptualization & Strategy: Lead the creation of compelling product concepts and specifications that align with MedSource Labs’ business strategy. Develop detailed product briefs and strategic roadmaps to meet customer and business needs.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, design, R&D, sales, and marketing teams to oversee the full product development lifecycle—from initial ideation to prototyping, testing, and commercialization. Drive cross-functional alignment to ensure product success across all stages.
- Commercial Pricing & Positioning: Develop pricing models and go-to-market strategies that maximize profitability while remaining competitive within target markets. Ensure product positioning aligns with both customer expectations and the company’s financial goals.
- Product Launch & Market Penetration: Lead the product launch process, ensuring all aspects of the go-to-market strategy are executed efficiently. Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to drive awareness, demand, and rapid adoption.
- Post-Launch Performance & Continuous Improvement: Monitor product performance after launch through sales analysis, customer feedback, and market trends. Identify areas for product improvement, innovation, and potential lifecycle adjustments to maximize long-term success.
- Lifecycle Management: Manage the product lifecycle, including product enhancements, updates, and eventual phase-out strategies. Ensure ongoing product relevance and profitability through strategic decisions.
- Collaboration with Leadership: Partner with the leadership and other stakeholders to align product strategies with broader business objectives. Provide regular updates on product development progress and commercial performance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Product Management, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in product development, ideally in a commercial or consumer-facing environment, preferably within the medical device, healthcare, or related industries.
- Proven track record of successfully launching and commercializing new products.
- Strong understanding of market analysis, competitive landscape, and customer insights.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage complex projects and lead cross-functional teams.
- Data-driven mindset with the ability to interpret market data, customer feedback, and sales performance to optimize product strategies.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Knowledge of product lifecycle management and regulatory compliance in the medical industry is a plus.
